Gifts of all sizes that are needed and spent every year.

Give to Northwestern
Annual Fund

There is strength in numbers.

Annual giving at Northwestern University is the ongoing support provided by thousands of alumni, parents, students, and friends every year. These contributions are spent, and therefore needed, each fiscal year (September 1 through August 31), and they represent a flexible, immediate, and essential source of funds for the University.

Individuals who want to make unrestricted gifts through the Northwestern Annual Fund let the University decide how best to use their contributions. The Northwestern Annual Fund is used to meet the areas of greatest need across the University. Donors may also choose to support University areas and programs meaningful to them by giving to the following annual funds:

Why every gift matters

The number of individuals contributing to the University is just as significant as the dollars we raise. The percentage of alumni giving to the University each year is a significant measure of the conviction Northwestern graduates have in their alma mater. Plus, the more people who make a gift, of any amount, the more good things Northwestern can do for the world.

Why giving every year matters

Supporting extraordinary students and faculty takes extraordinary resources. The funds provided by annual gifts are spent every year. But the important work of preparing leaders, improving lives, and creating art continues year in and year out.

The amount you are able to give may vary, and the areas you choose to support may change. But your commitment to giving every year provides the sustainable base of support that allows us to make a difference every day.
